#GivingTuesday – You Gave Thanks. Now Give Back.

Today is #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back!

To those who are still considering what they can do to give back, Giving Tuesday is a great day to show your support for organizations that work hard to lesson the burden on those less fortunate.

On this #GivingTuesday 2018, we’d like to ask for support for our community partners, the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona and Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse. The work of these two organizations is in invaluable in helping the people of Southern Arizona. Please consider giving what you can to either or both. Whether you can give $5 or $5000, your gift will make a difference!

Thank you!

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona HungerWalk 2018 is September 15th

Our friends at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona are holding their HungerWalk 2018 event on September 15, 2018

The HungerWalk is a wonderful way for the community of Tucson and surrounding area to support a wonderful, well-run organization that works hard to minimize the number of people in the area that face food insecurity. The Community Food Bank has planned this year’s event to be bigger and better than ever!

Registration is open for walkers of all ages and abilities to join and those who register before August 24th get a chance to win a free weekend at Casino del Sol!  Maybe consider forming a HungerWalk team with your co-workers or members of a social group you enjoy.  The more the merrier!

You can get more information and register for the event at HungerWalk 2018.

How do you share your blessings?

Today is “#Giving Tuesday“, a globally celebrated day dedicated to the charitable season when many kick-up their giving a notch. This special day is relatively new as special days go, having been created by 92nd Street Y, a cultural center in New York City. It’s a good reminder for all to take a moment to step out of their routine and to consider how they can lend a hand to help others. Be that in the way of doing volunteer work, supplying a charitable cause with needed items or making a monetary donation, all positive giving efforts are encouraged in local communities.

Find out more about #GivingTuesday:

Giving-tuesday-showvalue-incWhile it’s nice to have specific day to remind people about the role of giving back when they can, it’s also important to keep that spirit of throughout the rest of the year. We like to embrace that approach with community support.  Need knows no season so think about making your contributions throughout the year. So, how do you plan to share your blessings with your community?
